expertise in linocut if you are looking for a unique gift this holiday season for yourself or an artist on your list!
Here he is in his own words with examples of his great landscape prints:
"I didn't know much about printmaking before 2017. Just for fun, I took a series of Intro to Printmaking workshops organized by Bluegrass Printmakers. I absolutely loved it, especially linocut. I then signed up for another workshop focused specifically on linocut, and from there I was hooked.

It took a while for me to find my style, as I was printing all kinds of images with no true focus.
One day, my wife noted that we needed wedding gifts for a friend and a cousin, both of whom had special ties to the same spot in Rhode Island. She suggested giving them scenic landscape prints of a certain lighthouse by the water.

That's when it clicked for me. I could use printmaking to capture meaningful locations, combining my passions for art and traveling. This style has allowed me to look more closely at beautiful scenery, spending time soaking in the details and memories. I've carved linocut images of spots in Kentucky, California, Vermont, Ireland, and more.

Beginning in 2018, I became more involved in Bluegrass Printmakers, serving as Vice President and later, President. One initiative I'm proud to have helped start has been All Hallows Ink, an artistic celebration of Halloween. Many artists enjoy exploring the darker side of life. While creepy and macabre don't appeal to everyone, I believe that reminders of death and darkness help us better appreciate life and light. Plus, Halloween is just plain fun. This would be the perfect holiday for showcasing the work of Bluegrass Printmakers.

While my work rarely veers into spooky territory, one of my personal favorite prints has been of Salem Witch House. Not only did this piece allow me to contribute to All Hallows Ink while staying within my own style, but it also serves as a reminder of how dark human nature can turn when people allow fear and prejudice to drive their actions."
